- Width: 117 cm. (46")
Length: 159 cm. (62")
Condition: Fair
Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Several pale age marks dotted around. Minimal scuffing Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. One minor tear in the upper right area but that does not affect the integrity of the piece. A worn piece but with a great value. Not at all perfect, but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful antique textiles. Very large and very usable. The small scuffings give it a beautiful old patina.
Extremely beautiful and rare!
- Beautiful and elegant vintage gray and white striped ticking fabric. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French, “coutil”) from the first half of the 1900s. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric.
ROSARIO SAYS: “It is somewhat flanneled on the inside, it has a certain resemblance to Nordic ticking.”
