- Width: 114 cm. (44")
Length: 64 cm. (25")
Condition: Distressed
Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Color unevenly faded with time. Moderate marks or tarnishing throughout the piece. Moderate scuffing throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections often present in these beautiful antique textiles. Despite all these imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare! Condition reflected in price.
- Lovely vintage ticking fabric in light blue and pink stripes with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
