- Width: 72 cm. (28")
Length: 144 cm. (56")
Condition: Distressed
Distressed. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Minimal scuffing Slightly irregular edges. This piece has quite a few, but very pale marks all over the piece. Without eyelets, but with stitching from the original tape. A worn piece but with a great value. The small scuffings give it a beautiful old patina. Maybe not for everyone. Extremely beautiful and rare!
- Wonderful and very old vintage beige ticking fabric with thin gray stripes. It is a European fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a cover mattress. It is a medium weight cotton fabric.
ROSARIO SAYS: “One of the oldest fabrics that we have recovered with a Plain Weave fabric and ribbons to hold the wool being knotted on the inside.” A collector's piece."
