This fabric has some very pale irregularities in the weave.
Please note: This fabric is special because it is lightweight, yet it has quite a lot of sizing (starch), which gives it a somewhat stiffer hand. Best typically for firm treatments, such as window roman shades, or to upholster chairs, ottomans, or structured pillows, such as bolsters, bench cushions, etc. potentially with a backing.
We recommend to only dry clean this fabric if you want it to keep its firm texture. It is possible, however, to wash this fabric, but the texture will transform into a fluid drape almost like a voile, then, mostly apt for very light fabrications, such as kitchen curtains and similar.

- Beautiful and original vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with green, gray and white stripes. It is a resistant European fabric made around 1940 of sateen weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "skin" (from the French "coutil")
This fabric is unused. Very rare! A treasure of the last factories in the Mediterranean. It is made of light weight cotton.
