Charming vintage red and pink striped ticking fabric. It is a strong European fabric made around 1950 from herringbone weave. In the past, these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called “cutís” (from the French “coutil”). It is light to medium weight cotton. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
