Excellent condition. Only some minor scuffs and one l-shaped mending. Otherwise the piece is perfect! The width is formed by two long strips joined in the middle, which indicates that it was made on a narrow loom. Normally indicative of the antiquity of the textile. Exceptional and extremely rare! An absolute treasure.
- Fascinating Finnish ticking fabric (“patjakangas”) with red, black and off-white stripes. It is a very dense twill to contain the feathers and on the reverse it is slightly flanneled, as can be seen in other fabrics of the period. This fabric is as genuine as they come. Charming piece for the quality of the textile and for the look and colors. It is a piece from the early 1900s.
