Original vintage ticking fabric in an intense cobalt blue color. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930 with a Versailles pattern. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is extra soft cotton it is light weight. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy. We can see a romance story of a prince and a princess (and a dog!).
