  • Very rare vintage ticking fabric in blue and white with an oriental motif. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of medium weight cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy and the Indianas for the arrangement in the pieces. In this fabric, the motifs are very original: Arab riders in battle, dancers, camel passers-by, ... Arab architectures and palm trees frame the scenes.
