    Fair condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration Minimal scuffing towards the middle. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage.

  • Very rare vintage blue and white mattress fabric with an oriental motif. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is medium weight cotton. Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as Toile de Jouy and Indianas due to the arrangement of the pieces. In this canvas, the motifs are very original: Arab horsemen in battle, dancers, camel riders,… Arab architecture and palm trees frame the scenes.
