Wonderful vintage Bordeaux colored mattress ticking fabric with a chinoiserie pattern. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This piece, reclaimed and freshly laundered, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is cotton medium weight. Here we see chrysanthemums, and birds with exotic plumages.
