Beautiful vintage ticking fabric in deep lilac color. It is a European damask fabric from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly laundered, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is extra soft cotton, although heavy in weight. It is a fabric with a lot of weight and drape. Some friendly Cupids about to launch their arrows from inside a shell, an allegory to Venus, the goddess of love.
