Superb violet vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with an exotic nature motif. It is a European damask fabric manufactured around 1940 to make mattress covers. This fabric is unused. It is made of cotton with a strong and dense weight, but very moldable after many washes and use. Perfect textile for upholstery projects. The designs on this fabric take us to Japan: cherry blossoms, waterfalls and bridges, exotic birds, etc. Designs very much like the European Art Nouveau of the XIX S.
