Very rare light lavender and white vintage ticking fabric with an oriental motif. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is medium weight cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy and the Indianas due to the arrangement of the pieces. In this canvas, the motifs are very original: Arab horsemen in battle, dancers, camel riders,… Arab architecture and palm trees frame the scenes.
