Original vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in an intense lilac color. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950 with a Versailles pattern. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This extra soft cotton fabric is lightweight. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy. We can see a romance story of a prince and a princess (and a dog!).
