    Condition: Good
    Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Very large piece that can be very well used. The eyelets are delicately embroidered in red thread. Perfect for extra long lumbar cushions!

  • Superb vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in vivid red with an exotic nature motif. It is a European damask fabric manufactured around 1940 to make mattress covers. It is made of cotton with a strong and dense weight, but very moldable after many washes and use. Perfect textile for decorating projects. The designs on this fabric take us to Japan: cherry blossoms, waterfalls and bridges, exotic birds, etc. Designs very much like the European Art Nouveau of the 19th century.
