Original vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in light pink and white with a Versailles motif. It hides a story of romance among gardens. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is heavy cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of traditional French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy and the Indianas. It is especially smooth.
