    Condition: Fair
    Fair condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Pale fading.Moderate scuffing towards the side seams. A small tear towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Firm and rigid texture. Very large piece that can be very well used. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections often present in these beautiful antique textiles.

  • Superb vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in vivid green with an exotic nature motif. It is a European damask fabric manufactured around 1940 to make mattress covers. It is made of cotton with a strong and dense weight, but very moldable after many washes and use. Perfect textile for decoration projects. The designs on this fabric take us to Japan: cherry blossoms, waterfalls and bridges, exotic birds, etc. Designs very much like the European Art Nouveau of the 19th century.
