    Distressed. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Pale fading.Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage.

  • Lovely vintage ticking fabric in light blue and pink stripes with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
