    Condition: Fair
    Fair condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Pale fading.Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. With hand mendings. Very large piece that can be very well used. Multiple light scuffings towards the sides of the piece. Several small 5mm rips, especially around the edge. This piece is two pieces joined with a beautiful hand stitching. The large piece is 138 x 134 with a 59 x 134 side attached. Some slightly deteriorated seams. Despite all these imperfections it is a unique fabric. A very large and well usable piece!

  • Lovely vintage ticking fabric in light blue and pink stripes with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
