    Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage.

  • Wonderful vintage ticking fabric with blue, cream, white, red and blue stripes. It is a strong European fabric made around 1950 of herringbone weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called “cutís” (from the French “coutil”) It is made of medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery and interior design projects. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture
