Lovely vintage striped ticking fabric that plays with two shades of blue, cobalt and cerulean and wide white stripes. Making a simple and delicious combination at the same time. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. The sateen fabric and the years make this fabric very soft and moldable.
