    Condition: Distressed
    Distressed. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Pale fading.Moderate scuffing throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. The upper left corner is slightly uneven. A very fine and light fabric with several areas with friction. See the photos. Despite the imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare!

  • Wonderful vintage beige ticking mattress fabric with beige stripes with thin pink and white stripes. It is a European twill called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a very soft lightweight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. The years give it a beautiful old-age patina. The herringbone weave reinforces the visual linearity.
