Beautiful and elegant vintage gray and white striped ticking fabric. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the first half of the 1900s. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric, very dense.

ROSARIO SAYS: “It is somewhat flanneled on the inside, it has a certain resemblance to Nordic ticking.”
