Lovely vintage pink and red striped ticking fabric on a beige background. It is a European sateen fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly laundered, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors.
