Spectacular vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with wide red and white stripes. It is a European sateen cutí fabric (from the French “coutil”) from around 1920. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is light to medium weight cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. It is a very cheerful fabric with a very bright strawberry red, which has kept its color despite the years.
