Wonderful vintage taupe, white, red and blue striped mattress fabric (ticking). It is a sturdy European fabric made around 1950 from herringbone (twill) weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called “cutis” (from the French “coutil”) This fabric is unused. Very rare! A treasure from the last factories in the Mediterranean. It is made of medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery and interior design projects.
