Unused. Perfect condition. Original condition unaltered. May have only extremely superficial marks consistent with age and history. This fabric is pre-shrunk. Selvages preserved intact. Minimal pale storage or age marks on the selvedges. The body of the piece is in excellent antique condition.
Please note: This fabric is special because it is lightweight, yet it has quite a lot of sizing (starch), which gives it a somewhat stiffer hand. Best typically for firm treatments, such as window roman shades, or to upholster chairs, ottomans, or structured pillows, such as bolsters, bench cushions, etc. potentially with a backing.
We recommend to only dry clean this fabric if you want it to keep its firm texture. It is possible, however, to wash this fabric, but the texture will transform into a fluid drape almost like a voile, then, mostly apt for very light fabrications, such as kitchen curtains and similar.
