Unused. Fair condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Minimal pale storage or age marks towards the middle. Pale fading or storage discoloration in the center folding line. This fabric is unwashed and has quite some sizing (starch). Selvages preserved intact.
Some tiny marks in the center folding line from storage. This fabric has some pale transversal weave marks every 1 / 2 meters or so. They may wash out but not fully disappear. Only ideal for projects that can work in ~ 1 meter length increments - e.g. settee, sofa or chair seats, roman blinds with pleats, lampshades, pillows, etc! - otherwise the body of the piece is perfect and lovely antique condition as factory original! All condition reflected in the price.
CARE: We recommend dry-clean only to avoid color transfer.
- Beautiful vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with wide navy blue and white stripes. It is a tough European fabric made around 1940-1950. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "cutí" (from the French "coutil"). These fabrics are unused. Very rare! A treasure from one of the last Mediterranean factories. Perfect textiles for interior design, for tablecloths, for cushions, etc. We have the same pattern in blue stripes and in red stripes.
