Unused. Perfect condition. Original condition unaltered. May have only extremely superficial marks consistent with age and history. This fabric is unwashed and has quite some sizing (starch). Selvages preserved intact.
CARE: We recommend dry-clean only to avoid color transfer.
- Original vintage ticking fabric in magenta pink, cream and white stripes. It is a sturdy European fabric manufactured circa 1940-1950 that blends sateen weave with damask jacquard with geometric motifs of squares in its pink list. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "cutís" (from French "coutil")
This fabric has never been used. Very rare! A treasure from one of the last factories in the Mediterranean. It's a medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery projects. The yellow hue gives a warm look to our projects.
