Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Color unevenly faded with time. towards the side seams. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Beautiful hand sewn back patches. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Specially soft fabric.
- Gorgeous vintage salmon pink timeworn mattress fabric (ticking). It is a European damask fabric from around 1930-1940. With an original and curious oriental Chinoiserie motif. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of soft cotton and is light in weight. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. Mixed pattern, large flowers, flowering trees, exotic birds, varied architectures such as pyramids, a castle, a rural house, etc. It is like a journey through many cultures.
We also have this same motif in blue and green.
