Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Pale fading.Minimal scuffing towards the top edge. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. With the authentic tape that marked the edges of the mattress.
- Lovely vintage ticking fabric in light blue and pink stripes with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
