Fair condition. Centre part, no eyelets with a number (479) embroidered with blue thread. A school mattress mark or similar. This panel has one part with vivid colour and one part with quite worn colour. Some minor rubbing. One selvedge. This is a panel from our collection
- Wonderful vintage beige ticking fabric with red and white stripes. It is a European spikelet fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. The herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity.
