- Beautiful vintage ticking fabric with wide red and beige stripes and very thin red and off-white stripes. The years have given it a wonderful aged patina. It is a strong European fabric made around 1950 from herringbone weave. In the past, these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called “cutís” (or in French “coutil”).
It is made of medium-weight cotton. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture, and it also makes it very consistent.
ROSARIO SAYS: “An elegant combination of colors and widths of the stripes!!!
