Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Minor color fading or discoloration Some pale marks towards the middle. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. Very large piece that can be very well used. The upper left corner is irregular in shape. It has a clean tear on the upper edge of about 27 cm. Otherwise, the piece is in beautiful antique condition. It has two added panels on the sides with hand stitching. See the sketch. Not perfect at all, but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful ancient textiles. A very large piece. Exceptional!
- Lovely mint green and pink striped vintage ticking fabric with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone weave reinforces linearity.
